New this year, we are offering a Market Share. This is for the folks that shop at either the Phinney or Meadowbrook Market, and want to pick out their own veggies at the Market! You ‘bank’ some cash and then pick up the items you want. There will be a minimum $150 order, however, you will be able to set any amount you’d like beyond that. You’ll also be able to add to your ‘bank’ at any point during the market season. Here’s how it works: You come to the market, each week, every other week, once a month, it’s up to you; pick out the items you want that day, and we’ll deduct it from your account. WE STILL HAVE SPOTS AVAILABLE FOR THE 2010 CSA!!!
This year’s CSA session will go 20 weeks, begining June 17th and ending October 27th. The main CSA day will again be on Wednesdays, when you can either pick up at the farm, or from the nearest depot – we will continue using the Meadowbrook Farmers Market for a pickup location on Sunday. The boxes will again be $30, and the total cost will be $600. This box should contain enough produce to feed 2 adults and 2 children or 2 adults that eat a predominantly vegetable based diet. New for this year, we are also offering a $400 box, which will contain enough produce for 1 adult. Thanks to our 2009 members for a great season and we look forward to 2010! There will be a few different options for picking up your box:
- You can pick up your box at the Meadowbrook Farmers Market, on Sunday from 11:00 to 3:00. The market is located at the Seattle Waldorf School – 2728 NE 100th Street – 100th and Ravenna.
- We will have drop off locations in Klahanie, Eastgate and Green Lake.
- You are always welcome to pick up your box at the farm.
All drop-off locations, other than Meadowbrook Market, will be on Wednesdays. If you have a covered area – a porch, garage etc – and would like to offer your location as a drop point, please let us know. Our goal is to have the boxes delivered before 11 AM and available until 6 or 7, depending on the schedule of the depot being used.
